Another Step

12_26_a
I got the cast off my right wrist today and it was replaced with this little brace. Now I have at least one good hand and hopefully it will be weight bearing soon.

Everybody please note that I'm not actually doing the blog in fact I haven't even been online since the tip-over. I'm dictating everything to Deb because my vision is a bit mixed-up. It will be a few weeks until I can get back to everyone that has left comments or sent emails.

  1. Senior Trevitt ... looking VERY good in this photo. I have to say hats off to the doc's on the surgery. Plus the beard and the tuque ... gonna have to start calling you "Relic," remember that guy on the Beachcombers? Betcha these Mmmmericans won't now what the hell we're talking about huh!?!
And by the way, Deb, our compliments on the blog, very tastefully done

  2. Hey Andrew and Deb,

First: Thanks Deb for setting up the blog so we can see the progress and the process. The comments are a great read as well.

Second: Sorry for taking so long to write. Truth be told, my emotions kept getting the best of me. Rita was right, as usual, it was time to write. Watching what the both of you are going through, any difficulty I had, pales in comparison.

Third: Andrew, it is so good to see your smiling face! I know it is probably the closest thing to a modern miracle that you are still with us and I, along with everyone else, is so glad for that.

Keep up the great fight, both of you. When we meet again, Andrew can make us his world famous gimlets. You are in our thoughts and hearts every day.

    Cheers and love.

  4. Definitely great that you got the cast off, but sucks that they're still requiring you to eat with your left hand as part of therapy...

No worries, that way you can savor the food that Meg will be smuggling into your room.
