But Who’s Counting?

1_18_b
Today marks the end of week ten since my tip over.
Nine days until I get out of the “special” bed.
Tentatively a week or two until I'm moved to TLC (transitional living center).

  6. Andrew, We have only met once, briefly, at a launch at Willow Springs, but I just wanted to wish you the best in your recovery and chip in a little to the "Get Well" fund, and to encourage others to do likewise. To quote Tom Waits, "it's as cold as a well digger's ass" in Toronto and the snow won't stop.

  7. Hello Trev,

Joshua Henry, checking up on you! Glad to see superbikeplanet.com is getting the word out. I just purchased another copy of your suspension book for a friend.

I just thought I'd write something a bit different.

I've finally started school, here in Atlanta, Georgia. I'll have the journalism degree in 3 years! I'm going to go year-round. After, I graduate....I'm headed to Cali for a moto-journalist job. I can't thank you enough, for how you've inspired me to become a journalist. I first contacted you back in 2001(I was a high school freshman!). You probably don't remember. When you replied back to me....I was sooooo happy! I was like, man, I have to stay in touch with him. You've been an inspiration to say the least.

I won't bore you too long. I thought, I'd recommend two of my favorite movies to watch: Perfect Stranger and Hard Candy. I think you'd enjoy these. They'll help with making time go by faster. Take it easy and have a great day!

  8. Hi Andrew,

We met briefly at DRA2001 after a Jim Allen Tire class. You and Kent answered a few questions I had. At the time I was a bit star struck to be talking to the guys whose articles I read every month, but you guys were so cool and helpful.

Glad to see you are making steady progress on your recovery. Your beard rocks, man! I can only fantasize about growing a big, burly beard like that! Must be the Canadian in you. :-)

    Have yourself a great week!

We only met once, I made small talk with you at a riders meeting at Fontana.
I remember how much I appreciated emails when I broke my leg racing SuperMoto at Grange. I hope you know that you have a lot of people pulling for you.
