The Arboretum

arboretum-035

Recently we went to the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden, which is something we've wanted to do for a while. It has some nice areas with an old cottage and barn from the 1800s, a waterfall, some fountains and a lake, all with mostly paved paths that made it easy to get around. It wasn't quite as hilly as the Descanso Gardens we've been to, but I still needed a push up a couple of the hills. The peacocks were making plenty of noise, and we saw plenty of interesting wildlife. For the first time in a while I had to have a nap when we got home - it was a lot of wheeling around and it's starting to get hot out, which seems to wear me out a bit more.
