Later next year some rehabilitation centers will have the eLEGS personal exoskeleton, "a wearable, artificially intelligent, bionic device that powers paraplegics up to get them standing and walking." It comes from Berkeley Bionics, a Bay-area company that makes exoskeleton devices that allow people to carry up to 200 pounds for several hours at a time. The eLEGS is battery powered and works by sensing gestures the wearer makes to then move the legs and walk. Read the press release or watch a video.
