Look Mom No Hands

Today Andrew made great progress during his crucial balancing exercises holding steady for over a minute. Until his orthopedic surgeon gives the clear for weight-bearing exercise he is not to use his arms for strenuous activity. His combined injuries leave him with only the use of his chest, shoulders and neck muscles to do the work normally done by the large muscle groups in the abs and back. Once his left arm and right wrist fractures heal he will be ready to role.

  5. Andrew -
We know how you like chocolate, so there's a mondo 5-lb. Hershey's bar headed your way. That oughta give you some energy for PT!

    Best wishes.

  6. Andrew,

My heart goes out to you, Deb, and all of your family and friends.

I just heard of your blog and will be checking in to keep abreast of your rehab program. The pics posted seem to indicate the resilience of your spirit is still strong and well, and that’s a very good thing.

Chin up Andrew. You’re in my thoughts every day.

Elaine and I have been thinking of you often.

You have touched more people than you know and that is truely powerful.
