Sprit of the Season: Out of the Blue
When I returned home from the hospital last night one of our neighbors left this wreath on our door with a handmade Christmas card. I was so moved by this simple act of kindness that I stood in awe for a good ten minutes. The apartment complex that Andrew and I live in is a fairly low-keyed place with busy people who keep to themselves most of the time. I guess this hardship in our lives has given pause to many people that I did not expect and it humbles me in a way I cannot explain. I just hope, one day, I can return even an ounce of the kindness Andrew and I have received from our family, friends and neighbors. — Deb

I know you have setup a fund for expenses and such but do you have an email address where contributions can be sent via paypal?

Godspeed Deb and Andrew. Such things do remind us of our place on the planet - of who and what is important. This holiday season I will be wishing for Andrew's health and recovery, and that you both end up with all you deserve.
ReplyDeleteKind of a mental wreath, but all I can do from Northern California.
And Deb, thanks so much for reaching out. I can't imagine what it's like to go through this time, but I do know there are so many people who care so much about what happened and how you are doing.
