Yet more progress

I went to the gym today for the first time in about three weeks. My arm is still not quite up to full strength, but the extra mobility in my elbow gives me a more even pull on the machines. It makes things a lot easier, and it won't be long before I'm up to the weight settings I was using earlier. Otherwise it was a pretty typical day: throwing beanbags at the therapists as an excuse for sitting balance, strapping into the CPM machine for a couple of hours, and upper and lower body stretching.

This weekend will be interesting. Debbie is determined to get me to the barber, so we'll be heading into Claremont on Saturday. Hopefully I won't have to transfer into the barber's chair, that will be a stretch. Sunday I'll be at home again; my friend Eric (the always funny $$ in the comments section) will be coming over to cut the legs off our bed to make it level with my chair, and Debbie and I will figure out how all the railings have to go in the bathtub. If all goes well, I'll hopefully be able to stay home overnight the next weekend. Fingers crossed!
