The life of Riley

Things are going smoothly at home, and getting better every day. It's been pretty quiet so far, we've been out to dinner with some friends one evening and out shopping briefly yesterday, but otherwise I've been home. We went to a restaurant just up the street, to a place we went on one of my weekends home. The last time it seemed to take forever to wheel there and I needed a lot of help from Debbie, but this time I managed it all on my own and it seemed a lot closer and I was happy to see that improvement (and I'm sure Debbie was too!).

Tonight Debbie is at her drawing class, and this will be my first time getting to bed totally on my own. The last couple of nights she's only had to keep an eye on me, so I'm sure it will go fine as long as I don't forget something and have to get up again.

Tomorrow we're heading to the Griffith Observatory with Debbie's nephew. After a few days in the apartment I'm ready to go out for a bit, it will be our first real outing from the apartment.

  3. Griffith is always a fun destination. I was just there over the weekend. Not sure how wheel friendly it is though... I'm sure you'll enjoy it all the same. :)

  4. Andrew,

So happy to see that you're continuing your blog for all of us that follow your progress. Couldn't be happier for you and Debbie that you're back home for good. It looks and sounds like you've got quite a nice new place.

Haven't heard when your first day is back at the SR office in the Gleaming Petersen Tower but I'm sure that they'll throw quite a celebration to have you back.

Keep up the great work and thanks for keeping us all up to date on your amazing recovery.
